Tree removal and trimming across Saline County
Saline County has grown fast, and a lot of that growth went into lots carved out of pine and hardwood woods. That means trees standing close to new houses, and plenty of them reaching the age where they start to fail.

Short answer
We cover Saline County from our Little Rock service office, including Benton, Bryant, Alexander, Haskell and Shannon Hills. Most calls here are removals of trees left too close to newer houses, dead pines and ash, and stump grinding after lot clearing. The county has grown from about 83,500 residents in 2000 to over 123,000 in 2020, and many of those homes were built into the woods.

Why Saline County trees need watching

Saline County was formed in 1835 and named for the salt works that once supplied much of Arkansas, and the Saline River still runs through it. Today it is one of the fastest growing parts of central Arkansas, which shows in the number of homes sitting under trees that were in a forest twenty years ago.
Ash is a particular concern here. Saline County is one of the Arkansas counties where emerald ash borer has been confirmed, and infested ash trees die back from the top and turn brittle quickly. If you have ash on your lot, have it looked at before the crown thins out.
Along the hills north of Benton and around Bryant, pines left standing after construction are often shallow-rooted on one side where the soil was cut. Those are the trees that lean after a wet spring.
