Who we are
We take down trees that have to go, keep the ones worth keeping, and clean up after both. The work runs from ordinary removals and trimming to crane lifts over houses, stump grinding, storm cleanup and clearing rural land, across the Little Rock metro from our Stanton Rd office and the Texarkana area from our De Kalb head office.
What we care about is simple to describe: pieces lowered on ropes instead of dropped on roofs, one price for the whole job, storm calls worked first, and a yard left cleaner than we found it.

On the job
Most of our work happens in back yards and along fence lines, not in front of an audience. Ropes and rigging over roofs, chippers at the curb, and a raked yard at the end of the day are what a normal visit looks like.
Every crew carries the same basic kit: saws, climbing and rigging gear, a chipper, and tarps to protect beds and drives. Bigger jobs add a bucket truck, a crane or a stump grinder as the work calls for.

How we work
What you can count on from our crews
Rigged, not dropped
Over roofs, fences and gardens, every piece comes down on a rope.
One price for the job
Cleanup and haul-off included; the stump quoted separately so you choose.
Storm calls first
Trees on structures and blocked drives jump the schedule.
Honest recommendations
Most trees we look at need pruning or nothing. We say so.
Utility lines respected
Primary lines are Entergy's. We work the house side with a plan.
Clean finish
Chipped, raked, blown and walked with you before we leave.
Who writes our guides
The guides on this site are written and kept up to date by Merle Shackelford, our tree care guides editor. They answer the questions we hear on the phone most, using published sources for local costs, storm history and forestry guidance, with the source named in the text.
If something in a guide is out of date or does not match what you saw on your own property, call and tell us. We would rather fix it than leave it wrong.
Step by step
How a job runs, from the call to cleanup
- 1
You call
Any hour. We ask what the tree is doing, where it is and what is under it.
- 2
A crew lead looks
In person, with one price for the whole job.
- 3
We set the plan
Ropes, a lift or a crane, and where every piece will land.
- 4
The work
Top down, in sections, chipping as we go.
- 5
Cleanup and walk-through
Raked, blown, and checked against the list with you.
How calls are handled
The crew that answers this line is the crew that does the cutting. On storm nights, when every crew is already out or an emergency cannot wait for our next opening, Martinez Tree Service may pass the call to another trusted local tree company so you are not left waiting. That company sets its own schedule and prices, so confirm insurance with whoever does the work before it starts.
